What is the significance of the “Management in Economy 4.0” Conference for strengthening cooperation between academia, business, and public administration, as well as for developing regional and national innovation ecosystems?

Professor Piotr Niedzielski reflects on the role of the event, its supra-regional and international dimension, and its importance for cluster development, technology transfer, and the implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions:

“The Conference [‘Management in Economy 4.0’, organised by the Faculty of Management of the University of Bialystok – editor’s note] plays an important role in strengthening the regional and national innovation ecosystem. Its successive editions have established the Conference as an event bringing together the academic community, entrepreneurs, business support institutions, and representatives of public administration, creating a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of digital transformation.

Its significance should be considered in the context of cluster development, increasing innovation, and strengthening the competitiveness of the economy, not only in the Podlaskie region, but also as an important supra-regional event with an international dimension.

The participation of representatives of industrial, technology, and construction clusters supports the development of cooperative networks that accelerate technology transfer and the implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions in the SME sector.

The event gives entrepreneurs access to the latest knowledge on automation, process digitalisation, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things, contributing to greater operational efficiency and enhancing companies’ ability to adapt.

The event also strengthens relationships between universities and the business sector, fostering open innovation models and increasing the practical application of research results. In this way, the Conference contributes to improving the quality of Polish science and strengthening its internationalisation.

The hospitality of the Conference organisers in the Podlaskie region and the involvement of the University of Bialystok’s local and regional partners are also highly valued by participants.”
